Creativity can be found in just about anything and everywhere. From paintings on a wall to paintings on a canvas. But what does wood, bunnies and paint have in common? Rustic Decor.
Today on our Feature Friday series, we welcome Jamie Imbordino, a WAHM that does just that. We have the pleasure of reading about how this mom uses her creative juices and makes rustic wood signs and beautiful girl accessories.
Tell us a little about yourself.
I am a stay home mom and also have my own business making handmade signs.
Would you consider yourself an introvert or extrovert? Why?
I would say I am an extrovert. I’m pretty outgoing and love meeting new people.
Tell us about your products/services? How did you come about this idea? How did you begin?
I make rustic handmade wood signs. I’ve always been a huge crafter, most of my home decor I made myself, so I decided to start selling the items I make on Etsy.
Did you have startup costs?
I did have start up cost, but can’t recall how much it was.

How long have you been in business?
Since 2014.
Did you self-teach, took courses or learned from someone else?
I self taught myself.
How do you come up with the many different pieces/services?
With myself, if I think of an idea, I need to make it. Seeing what I create in my mind and making it work on a piece of wood is amazing. It truly comes to life as your ideas come out.
For many that are thinking of becoming entrepreneurs, what advice would you give them?
If you work hard and do your homework, it can happen for you. It took me many years to get to where I am at now, before I even started on Etsy, take what you are amazing at and go with it! For most people, it’s not an over night thing.
How do you balance work and life?
It’s definitely hard, especially during the holidays, but I always make time for my family no matter what. For me it’s God first, family, then work, there have been plenty of days I forget that, but it always works out.
Creative juices come from different places, from girl accessories to rustic signs, it's all an #art. Read blog post here. #WAHM Click To Tweet
