Or so is the expression or idiom when one is going ‘loco’ in Spanish, or as we say in English: crazy, insane, loony etc., you get what I’m trying to say.
If you are new to my site, you can read my About page and you will find a brief introduction about myself and what it is I want to accomplish with my blog. I mentioned that being a stay at home mom (SAHM) was somewhat of a challenge for me after being in the workplace for so many years. When I did finally have to be home with my boys full-time, I realized that “hey, now I have to do everything!”
Let me explain, when I was working, I had my mother to help me with the kids and the house work and sometimes daycare was their caregivers,so to speak. Now, it was I who had to do the work. YIKES!! Although, I did do chores here and there while I was working.
It was such an overwhelming feeling of desperation and sometimes anxiety. I felt I was losing my marbles just being home and not doing my normal tasks I was used to. Speaking with other friends/ex-coworkers, I was not alone in the sentiment. As time went by and I was able to get myself organized a bit, I realized that I can’t and won’t be able to do everything in one day and that it takes time and organization to accomplish what it is I need to accomplish. Which is to have a decent looking home and a happy family.
For now, let me leave you with this picture I took while walking my oldest to his bus stop in the morning. I promise it will not break your bones (like the saying says, “sticks and stones may break my bones”).
I also encourage you to take a deep breath if you are also struggling with this new journey of being a SAHM. If you have been in this for a while and sometimes still feel discouraged, remember that you are not alone and there are many groups on social network or local community groups that you can join to have ME time and vent with others. Sometimes we just need someone to talk to and listen to us. I highly suggest having a great support group as talking is always great.
P.S. Were you ever in a situation like this, from being in the workforce to being a SAHM? If so, what recommendations would you give someone that is feeling overwhelmed and having trouble transitioning? Feel free to leave your comments below.

I’ve been browsing online more than 4 hours today,
yet I never found any interesting article like yours.
It’s pretty worth enough for me. In my opinion, if all web owners and bloggers made good content as you did,
the net will be a lot more useful than ever before.
